The Full Story
This is who we are, what we believe, and what we do.

My Story
While driving onto Ga Route 75 in October 2024, I caught sight of a homeless man as I entered the highway. After that moment, I was so moved I cried for at least 20 minutes, so emotional that I knew it was God trying to tell me something. That He did. Instead of expecting 'others' to help with the homeless, it was my turn. After much prayer, I knew it was time to end my 35-year teaching career and begin the mission that was taking place in my head, with His help, of course. I began on my own with bibles in a blanket for the homeless, but every door I tried to begin with was closing. The Holy Spirit then kept telling me that God wanted blankets and bibles for future moms and their babies as well. Psalm 127:3 was the message that needed to be heard. A baby is a gift from God. The Holy Spirit even put a lullaby on my heart that took only 20 minutes to create. God is amazing.
Hence, God's Gift in a Blanket was officially organized and is up and running.

The goal is to service pregnancy centers with God's Gift bundles that include a blanket for mom and baby with a bible and a Jesus storybook throughout Georgia and beyond. An added service through Isaiah 117 House is the giving of age-appropriate blankets and/or teddy bears with devotionals or stories of Jesus to foster children when taken from their families.
Although the mission has focused on moms, babies and foster children, on my own I give blankets and bibles to Trinity Church's mission that supports the homeless.
Everyone needs to know that God loves them, will care for them and guide them through His Word, and will also warm their hearts with a soft, cuddly and comforting blanket.
